THE NEWS ABOUT THE POPULATION EXCHANGE ACCORDING TO THE ENGLISH PUBLIC

After the Ottoman Empire was defeated in the first World War, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk led the war of independence and the new Turkish state which passed from the reign of Sultanate to the Republic faced a major problem in the Treaty of Lausanne with the Entente States. This problem was the “Population Exchange” which dated on January 30, 1923. A new debate has begun with The “Prisoner and population exchange” agreement signed by the Turkish and Greek sides on this date, and the public opinion of the other foreign states, especially for the United States, it has been examined day by day.
